Senior VIP Travel Manager


Are you a flexible, service-oriented and independent person that is able to communicate on all levels? Do you have extensive experience of overseeing all VIP travel solutions, ideally in a mega- (sporting) event environment? With FIFA 2.0, our new operating model, we are looking for a pro-active Senior VIP Travel Manager with the necessary motivation and passion to complete the Travel Department of our Tournaments & Events Division.

Your duties

•    Managing the VIP Travel Team, being responsible for the entire organization of all travel arrangements for the FIFA Top Management as well as their VVIP travel companions and guests, including: commercial flights, private jets, accommodation, ground transport, VIP airport services, visa/entry & health matters
•    Ensuring service excellence through risk analysis, quality strategies and knowledge sharing
•    Being the main point of contact for FIFA Top Management, working in close cooperation with related functional areas, stakeholders and service providers
•    Project Management for FIFA Tournaments & Events, including definition of booking processes for international travel, contract negotiations, budgeting and support to Local Entity in regards to domestic flight and entry/visa strategies
•    Coordination of work between the project team in Switzerland and the extended team in the local entity (budgeting, staffing plan, international travel concepts, PMA flight strategy, risks & issues assessments)
•    Delivering and executing crisis action plans in case of voluntary and/or involuntary changes
•    Negotiating contracts with service providers and monitoring the proper application of agreements, including procurement processes
•    Developing and maintaining relationships with service providers, such as airlines, VIP lounges, hotels and other suppliers
•    Providing information related to visa and entry regulations, health information worldwide including liaising with official authorities
•    Delivering monthly accounting for all services, analyzing figures, producing reports and financial recommendations


Our requirements

•    Completed (business) travel agency education or business education with training in the travel industry
•    Further education in tourism, event or general management
•    Excellent skills in GDS (reservations, ticketing, fare rules, rebooking, etc.), namely Amadeus
•    At least 5 years of experience in the business travel industry or in a similar position in an international organisation
•    Fluent in English, any other language is an advantage
•    Experience with VVIP clients and an extensive knowledge of private jet operations
•    Willingness to occasionally work abroad for FIFA Tournaments and Corporate Events and other travel occasions
•    Experience in leading small teams
