Senior Accommodation Manager

ON THE BALL?

Are you a diplomatic, flexible and convincing person that is able to negotiate on all levels? Do you have extensive international experience of designing and implementing accommodation solutions, ideally in a mega- (sporting) event environment? With FIFA 2.0, our new operating model, we are looking for a seasoned and pro-active Senior Accommodation Manager with the necessary service-orientation and passion to complete the Accommodation Department of our Tournaments & Events Division.

 

Your duties
• Defining assumptions for hotel rooms, function spaces and other hotel services for specific tournaments and events
• Contracting the respective hotel inventory and related services
• Achieving cost savings and efficiency gains
• Establishing and implementing the necessary tools, such as concepts, project plans, communication models and business workflows
• Organizing site visits and being responsible for on-site operations and hotel management
• Leading the respective project teams during preparation, on-site operation and reconciliation phases of each project
• Developing strategies and business processes to deliver excellence, and leading small teams as per specific project
 

Our requirements
• Bachelor degree or similar in Travel or Hotel Management
• Exposure to Planning, Project and Business Management
• Contract negotiation and management experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Event Accommodation Management
• Key-account management experience
• Experience in setting up and managing complex projects
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading international/multicultural teams
• Fluent in English, any other language, or one of the FIFA languages, is an advantage (German, French or Spanish)
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to understand complex information
• High stress resistance and persistency
• Ability to build pro-active, co-operative working relationships with customers, peers and key stakeholders based on respect and team work
• Strong identification with FIFA
