Group Leader Workforce Management

ON THE BALL?

Are you a dynamic, motivated and service-focused person that is able to lead workforce planning for all FIFA’s Tournaments & Events? Do you have experience in developing an innovative Workforce IT Solution, ideally in a mega- (sporting) event environment? With FIFA 2.0, our new operating model, we are looking for an efficient, communicative and flexible team player to support our Tournaments & Events Division as a Group Leader Workforce Management.

Your duties

  • Oversee contracting and allocation of local offices within the respective host countries in close cooperation with the Accommodation, Venue Management and Technology departments
  • Build, sustain, and clarify worldwide and country-specific people processes, policies, and procedures. Create a consistent business practice and consider local needs
  • Develop and implement Workforce Experience Service Excellence
  • Manage the strategic overview of total Workforce across all the FIFA Tournaments and events and agree on the Workforce budget and calendar
  • Ensure that all planned roles are filled with qualified workforce members out of the available pool of staff, freelancers, member association staff, volunteers, etc.
  • Lead Workforce Planning for FIFA World Cups™ and special events for FIFA Staff and the overall Total Workforce approach
  • Develop, implement and be the main responsible for the ‘flexible workforce’ strategy, this includes the development of the concept and implementation (including capture of demand) including implementation of a global platform
  • Recruit, screen and manage freelancers – building a global talent pool
  • Develop e-learning modules and content for freelancers
  • Manage contracting of all external workforce members on behalf of respective project leads
  • Assign service-levels for event-time service and other needs, such as accommodation, mobile phones, travel & transport requirements, etc. for all the different FIFA workforce-member groups

 
Our requirements

  • HR and/or Workforce Management education/certification
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in workforce management at major sporting events (e.g. FIFA World Cup, Olympic Games, etc.)
  • Experience in the delivery of large scale sporting events, preferably across continents or regions
  • Management of Uniform supply chaina definite plus
  • Fluent in English, any other language is an advantage
  • Ability to remain calm in highly-pressured and fast moving environments
  • Excellent administrational and organisational skills
  • Discretion & high level of accountability
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to manage direct reports and their work, workload analysis and output
