Cloud and Endpoint Engineer, FIFA World Cup 2026
The Cloud and Endpoint Engineer will be a key member of the FIFA26 Technology team, working in close collaboration with technology teams across Canada, Mexico, and Zurich, as well as other stakeholders responsible for the delivery of endpoint and cloud services. This position supports the deployment, configuration, and operational readiness of cloud services and endpoint infrastructure across all tournament venues. The role involves assisting with the preparation, rollout, and support of user devices, identity services, and cloud-based tools, as well as assisting with end-to-end printer management across various venues and facilities, to ensure a seamless and secure technology experience throughout the tournament.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Cloud and Endpoint Engineer for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include but may not be limited to:
- Gather the specific requirements for end-user devices and ensure they are considered during the design of images and implementation process.
- Manage the cycle of printing services, such as collecting requirements, purchasing, setting up, customizing, maintaining, solving problems, and retiring.
- Plan and design, together with FIFA Zurich, the images and distribution according to the demand definition.
- Support the management of cloud-based identity and access controls using Azure Active Directory, including user provisioning, group policies, and conditional access.
- Perform testing, staging, and basic troubleshooting of endpoint devices to confirm functionality and compliance.
- Make sure asset configuration matches the defined image catalogue.
- Organize staging and testing of the end-user devices.
- Track the implementation of assets management process and guide suppliers on following the process.
- Coordinate with FIFA Zurich to ensure the timely and smooth delivery of assets based on standardized processes and images.
- Assist in designing the infrastructure required for the delivery of services.
YOUR PROFILE
Education & Qualifications
- University degree or similar higher education, in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
Work Experience
- Minimum of 8 years overall IT experience and minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the Sports / major event industry is desirable
- Proven track record of successful delivery of complex IT projects
- Technical background as Microsoft System Administrator or similar
Languages
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus
Technology
- Extensive experience with printer management solutions, such as Printix or similar platforms, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting, is highly desirable.
- Hands-on expertise in printer management technologies and their integration with IT systems.
- Knowledgeable in the use of endpoint management solutions such as Intune and/or SCCM.
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID for effective identity and access management.
- Skilled in troubleshooting Windows 11 environments, resolving performance, compliance, and configuration challenges effectively.
